One of the big problems of the FIAT 500 Abarth is the imprecision of the rear axle. This phenomenon is particularly evident when braking and entering a curve. Some common comments from 500 Abarth owners are: "It feels like you have to tame a snake that wants to escape from your hands" or even "it feels like the rear is writing or floating".
This phenomenon is truly harmful in sports driving at the limit and, in addition to increasing the lap time, makes driving challenging and sometimes dangerous. This is due to the fact that the original series axle is mounted to the body via silent blocks. The latter allow an unwanted movement of the wheels that give rise to the phenomena described so far.
