Our motorsport-derived top mount increases steering precision and ensures better operation of the spring-shock absorber unit. The top mount is a component that is placed between the shock absorber and the body dome. In order to improve steering precision and the structural resistance of the system, especially in the case of rigid setups, it is recommended to replace this part with one derived from motorsport: replacing the rubber with a uniball-type ball joint increases steering precision and ensures better operation of the spring-shock absorber unit.
This specific kit for Ohlins coil-over shock absorbers also allows the adjustment of the camber up to about -2.5°: the increase of this angle allows to obtain the maximum of the tire footprint on the ground during a hard curve. The kit includes: spring plate, adjustment plate and uniball support, motorsport uniball and special shock absorber stem nut.
The kit, made entirely of ERGAL obtained from solid, includes an innovative plate system with an integrated axial ball bearing to eliminate the noise during steering typical of top mount racing and a water protection to safeguard the uniball.
