The desire to produce this new product presented us with significant design and production challenges and obstacles.
Certainly because we have forced ourselves to respect some basic characteristics.
These difficulties have encouraged us to continue.
The characteristics to be respected were, indeed are, very simple.
The most important thing is to respect the shape and dimensions of all visible and invisible parts.
It is absolutely forbidden to have to make inappropriate modifications to the original parts in order to apply it.

This support is made entirely from solid. Unlike many other models that flaunt this feature and then include the rear shim washer in the assembly kit to bring the support plate into contact with the original support surface, which is lower than the other three anchoring points.

In our system the shim is obtained from the solid by milling the other parts, so that the necessary thickness can be obtained by difference to bring the assembly and the support of the entire system to the same level. In order to avoid modifications to the external aesthetic parts, we had to move the center of the lever to the right by 1.2 cm. This causes a very slight misalignment of the lever.

The owner of an Abarth (like others, for that matter) does not want to "ruin" or "distort" the shape of his little jewel. (even if some give little importance to details) We have seen cases in which, in order to fit the gear lever with reduced travel, the underlying cabinet had to be cut to avoid interference with the travel of the joints that connect the cables to the lever.

Other situations where you have to remove the upper part with all the leather cap giving a simple cover; removing in addition to the originality the appearance, and the sense of warmth that the leather gives.
Without going into the details of the various cases, we wanted a product that shortened the strokes of the front and lateral connections, without having to modify anything of the original aesthetics.
We did it.
The result: decidedly positive!

Running back and forth:
In position number 1 = 7.9 cm
In position number 2 = 6.2 cm
lateral stroke = cm 5

The lower cabinet, cover, leather cover cap, knob and everything else will remain original. without any changes to make. (if you deem it appropriate)
Assembly exactly like the original, so even the connecting joints between the ropes and the castle always remain the original ones, which in our opinion compared to other choices (uniball, jointed heads etc. require lubrication, otherwise they will wear out prematurely ) are the most appropriate.

No maintenance and games are also limited in time.

All the movements of the lever to perform the insertions are guaranteed by a large aluminum sphere and enclosed between two half-shells in special self-lubricating thermoplastic, which wraps the sphere 360 ​​degrees, avoiding play in all directions.

Replacing the new castle with the original castle is completely reversible and leaves no trace. Returning to the original situation is always possible.
In conclusion, you will have understood that we are not talking about the classic gadget or spare part that once applied after a few days we forget about it.
We are talking about a product that will give you different and more satisfying driving sensations.
